Herbal Medicine Course Structure
Through immersive in person and online herbal medicine education courses we have created practically relevant clinical learning pathways to help students achieve their goals, whether that may be to learn how to treat loved ones, or carry on further as a practicing herbalist for the greater community.

The estimated time is variable, apart from in person workshops learing is self directed and depends on the students inspiration to learn and time available.

Assessment
Certificate students only need to complete the comprehensive assignment work within the several month Herbal Apprenticeship program in order to achieve their Certificate of Herbal Medicine
Diploma students have more comprehensive assignment work to complete. They will as well be assessed via research projects, written exams, case-studies and personal mentoring.

Mentoring
No two practitioners of herbal medicine are ever the same. As such, every student has their own unique path to becoming natural health practitioner.

Individual mentoring is a vital part of the Diploma courses and students will be directed towards further learning in the areas that they and we see and identify as needing more attention.

A natural immersive learning journey with the Plant Rhythms Herbal Academy

The NZ Native Tree and Wild Plant Shamanic Herbal Apprenticeship is a core part of the PRHA program designed for those who feel called to deepen their relationship with plant medicine, the native bush, and holistic wellbeing.

Herbal Apprenticeship Overview
This apprenticeship forms the foundational training within the Plant Rhythms pathway. It is a comprehensive and experiential program that supports students to develop both practical herbal skills and deeper sensory awareness of the plant world.
The training integrates and is not limited to:

The program is designed to be immediately useful for personal wellbeing while also preparing students for further professional study if they choose to continue.

What You Will Learn
The curriculum is carefully layered in the Certificate and Diploma

Native Plant Knowledge
Students develop working familiarity with:

Learning Environment
Training takes place in Piha, Auckland’s wild West Coast, an ecologically rich environment that provides direct access to native bush, river ecological zones
and coastal plant communities.
